Roksan motor replacement using the Origin Live DC Motor Kit
The OL motor to replace the Roksan Motor is deeper and you therefore need to cut a hole in the bottom of the Radius motor housing base board for the new motor to fit through (I used a 50mm hole cutter to allow enough room for adjustments, etc.).
After this it’s simply a matter of orienting the replacement Roksan Motor plate on the top surface of the plinth such that it does not foul the platter rim.
Despite the fact that I did not buy direct from your company, I am absolutely delighted with what the kit has done for the deck. The stock motor was always way too loud for my liking, to the point where it became unbearable and your kit has now got me back to the standards I enjoyed with my Gyrodec. All I can say is thank you for your continuing to design solutions to problems that do exist rather than simply creating a ‘product’ that doesn’t already exist just for the sake of it, and also for your time in responding to my request. I will savour my next few months with my born-again deck before upgrading the power supply.
Note by Origin Live on Roksan Power Supply
The Origin Live solution to a Roksan broken motor is not just an inexpensive “fix it” solution but a significant upgrade in performance. The Roksan power supply is costly to replace should a failure occure and this is replaced by the Origin Live Power supply. Although this highly developed circuit is packaged in a small box the performance is better because the motor is better.
