I'm taking a wild guess, but I assume your turntable would sound better with more detail, more natural decay, clearer separation in the
soundstage, mid-band transparency and deep dynamic bass.
Our latest product does just that; introducing the Strata multi-layer platter mat, a universal upgrade for all turntables.
The Strata comprises three distinct materials joined together using a specialised flexible bonding technique. These materials are used to dissipate vibration from across the vibration spectrum, as single-material solutions only operate within specific vibration bands. Flexible bonding is also a design feature; vibrational interference occurs by allowing a slight interaction between layers, which dissipates resonances.
I listened to the results recently, and the effect is obvious. Testing our regular platter mat against the Strata with 'Now and Then' by The Carpenters (I can only apologise for Mark's choice of test record). Playback with the Strata made Karen Carpenter's voice far more clearly separated, detailed, and dynamic. Carpenter's voice came more forward in space, while the drums receded further back, with a richer texture than before. Put simply, the music became more engaging, more powerful, and more present.
The Strata is now available for purchase and fits all decks that can accept a 4.5mm thick mat.
